Notes have a page
Knowledge base, part 1 of 4
Until today a note in Projectifier was a title and a hundred-character preview. It had a body, but nothing let you write in it and nothing showed it to you whole. That changes.
What’s new
Every note has its own page. Click a note anywhere — in a project, an area, the inbox, or a search result — and it opens. The title edits in place. A breadcrumb at the top shows where the note lives: the area, the project, and the task if it sits under one.
You can write in it. The body is a proper editor with headings, lists, checklists, quotes, code and links, and what you write is saved as plain markdown. It saves itself: a moment after you stop typing, when you click away, and when you leave the page. There is no save button because there is nothing to remember to do.
Notes can live under a task. Open any task’s details and you’ll find a Notes section. Add one there and it belongs to that task — the research for the thing you’re about to do, kept with the thing.
A thought can become a note in one motion. When you promote something in your inbox to a note, the confirmation offers to open it, so the sentence you captured on the way to the kettle can grow into a page while it’s still in your head.
How it works
A note has always been a node in your graph, like a task or a project — the same thing under the hood, with a body field that was never wired up. This release wires it up rather than adding something new alongside it. That is why notes already turn up in search, already move between projects, and already come along when you archive a project: they were always part of the structure. Now they are somewhere you can go.
Bodies are capped at 256 KB — long enough for anything you would call a note, short enough that search and sync stay quick.
